S'lichot Hebrew

S’lichot: Saturday, September 21

S’lichot is the moment when we turn our thoughts towards the Days of Awe and a very moving way to enter into a more reflective state of mind as we approach Rosh Hashanah.

There was light reception from 9:00-9:30 PM followed by a musical presentation by the clergy, accompanied by Sandor Szabo, featuring pieces dealing with the themes of forgiveness, repentance and return.

Our traditional service in the Ross Sanctuary, accompanied by organ, took place at 10:15 PM and concluded with the blowing of the shofar at the open ark.
