Temple B’nai Abraham hosts a vibrant group of senior citizens every Monday from September through June, excluding holidays, from 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM. The program is co-sponsored by Temple B’nai Abraham, the JCC MetroWest and the National Council of Jewish Women. The group’s leader, Lori Chimoff, helps in program planning and activities coordination.

Each week there is a Senior Aerobic Exercise led by staff from the JCC, a business meeting, a 50/50 raffle, and an interesting program with a speaker, an entertainer or an educator. A few times a year, the group takes trips to local theaters, restaurants or museums. We are also fortunate to participate in the Project SHIN Nursing program of the JCC. Karen Frank, RN, TBA congregational nurse, attends our meetings monthly and is available to take blood pressure, to answer questions, as well as to visit members who are hospitalized. Although we ask everyone to bring a bag lunch each week, many times the Temple provides bagels and snacks. There is a nominal fee to join, but all seniors are welcome to visit for three meetings.
