Prime Time Bus Trip Photos

Prime Time went to Roosevelt NJ, a planned community started in the 1930’s to bring Jews out of the lower east side in NYC to live , work and farm in the country. We saw a mural painted by artist Ben Shahn depicting the immigrant experience in NY and the start of the community, which was eventually named after President Roosevelt. Spent time in the school building where the mural is painted on the wall. Then drove around to see the houses. They are required to keep the original dwellings but many additions have been made. We went inside a home and spoke to the owner.
