Dear Fellow TBA Members,Elmwood Church (4)

On the fourth Sunday each month, the Social Action Committee joins our partners, the NAACP of the Oranges and Maplewood and Elmwood United Presbyterian Church, in Café 5000, an effort in which we gather at the church to serve a hot meal to the needy population in the area.  Taking part is lovely and gratifying and a genuine mitzvah.

We’d love you to get involved.  In advance of each of “our” days we distribute a signup sheet offering various ways to help, like preparing main courses, side dishes or desserts in advance, purchasing Shoprite gift cards, setting up for the midday meal, serving, and cleaning up after the meal.  (Children at least 6 years old are welcome as long as a parent is with them.)

Want to help?  Let us know and we’ll put you on the list to receive the signup sheet.  We look forward to working together!

Please contact TBA’s Café 5000 coordinator, Michelle Greenberg at . The on-site commitment is only from 12:15-2:30PM on the 4th Sunday of each month and is located at the Elmwood Church in East Orange, about 15 minutes from our area.
