FREVOLUITONARY WAR MUSEUMirst Stop… The Museum of the American Revolution
We will audio tour the Museum’s core exhibit, which explores the ideas, events and the legacies of America’s revolutionary beginnings. The tour features the voices of Phyllis Wheatley, the first published African American female poet, and Baroness Frederika von Reidesel, who aided the wounded and journaled her experience. An introductory film highlights the drama of the war, digital interactivities and hands-on experiences. After the tour, we will hear a 30-minute lecture on “Revolutionary Women Writing About War” while we eat a box lunch*.
