Mitzvah Day 2018

Sunday, November 18, 8:30 AM-1:30 PM

Mitzvah Day 2018
Sunday, November 18, 8:30 AM- 1:30 PM

On Sunday, November 18, we have the opportunity to perform at least one mitzvah as part of Temple B’nai Abraham’s Mitzvah Day. As Jews, we understand the value of engaging in gemilut hasadim, acts of loving kindness, to make the world a better place. There are opportunities for everyone (all generations) to participate in helping others on this Sunday before Thanksgiving, a time when we pay special attention for all of our blessings.

The Social Action Committee in coordination with other TBA groups has planned a variety of ways to do a mitzvah. If you are 16  or older, you can donate blood and literally save a life. Contribute to collections (or make a donation for Mitzvah Day). There are activities throughout the day beginning with the Men’s Club Minyan where your prayers can lead you to immediate action.

Engaging in doing mitzvot together strengthens us as individuals and as a community. See the Mitzvah Day volunteer opportunities and join in this meaningful day!
